In the world known as the Tri-Mundus the kingdom of Personex was an oddity. Amongst all of the nations on this planet, this was the only one which managed to sustain peace for a lengthy period of time.

Decades ago the king of Personex signed a treaty with the surrounding nations which allowed his country to become a neutral area in the growing disputes and conflicts amongst the the rest of the world.

What forever puzzled historians however was how exactly the nation managed to establish itself, centuries ago it had been part of the Empire of the Beast, a super power which almost conquered the entire world.

Yet somehow despite it's small size, the people of Personex managed to drive back the imperial forces and create their own sovereign nation, with the rest of the world following suit. No one really knows how they did it though, their technology was nothing compared to the Empires, and furthermore there are no records of warriors or mages with extraordinary powers.

Nevertheless though, Personex was a small peaceful nation with little in the way of military power, which is precisely why the current queen of the kingdom, Mirelle was so fearful.

In a rather simplistic thrown room, atop a barren wooden thrown as a beautiful young woman with long pink hair, clad in an elegant white dress adorned with gems of various colours and sizes. The dress only came up to Mirelle's chest, allowing a small look at her generous bosom, but remaining tasteful.

Mirelle had a grim look on her face as a messenger knelt before her respectfully "Your highness" he said anxiety easily detectable in his words "We have...We have received word from Kaldo".

"I assume the peace talks did not go well" Mirelle said.

"No ma'am we've lost contact with the delegates, we can only assume they're all dead" the messenger said.

Mirelle gained a sorrowful expression "And my husband the king?" she managed to say, managing to hold back her emotions. The messenger didn't have to say anything, his silence confirmed her fears.

Mirelle's eyes began to tear up, but she restrained herself, grieving would have to wait, her people needed her "Has Chancellor Protus said anything on this matter?" she asked.

"He claims that this country is hiding a super weapon and that it violates the Rose treaty that your grandfather signed, he claims that this weapon can cause mass destruction and poses a threat to Kaldo, and that if we don't surrender he will invade." The messenger finished.

Mirelle looked on silently as the messenger spoke up again "Should I contact King Richard and request Seedraheim's assistance in this incident? I'm more then sure he'll help us."

"Yes" Mirelle said "He does have a strong sense of justice, however he cannot directly intervene in this matter"

"But your highness, surely he is bound to assist us by the treaty, the only way he would be able to refuse is if we did have a super weapon, which is preposterous" the messenger spoke up.

The queen didn't respond to that last statement "Is there any other news?" she asked.

The messenger was taken aback by her unwillingness to comment, but nonetheless he turned to his papers and fumbled around "Yes, there is talk of two individuals and a Volth moving towards the capital." he said.

"The chancellor's assassination squad" the queen said simply, to which the messenger nodded.

"I want you to send word out to the war council, tell them to meet with me in three hours and in the meantime they should devise as many possible strategies and predictions, I hope we can solve this problem peacefully, however that might not be the case."

The messenger bowed "Yes milady, is there anything else?" he asked as he stood up.

"Yes, tell Annette to come down to the thrown room, I wish to speak with her"

"Understood" he said dutifully as he stood up and left.

A little while later, Mirelle's teenage daughter Annette burst into the throne room, tears streaming down her face "Mother!" She cried "Is it true what they're saying about father!?"

Mirelle looked at her with tear filled eyes too "I-I don't know if he is...It's possible the Chancellor just imprisoned them" she tried to reassure both her daughter and herself.

Finally Mirelle stood up "As painful as it may be, I did not call you here to grieve, come I have something to show you" she said as she strode behind the throne, Annette following behind.

When Annette was in position, Mirelle raised a hand high above her head and spoke out a small chant, causing her outstretched hand to glow a pale blue, all the while a section of the stone floor began to slowly move.

Annette stared with shock "What is this?" she asked.

Mirelle's hand stopped glowing as the secret panel finished moving, revealing a long stone staircase "Come" Mirelle said as she began to descend "There's not much time."

As the queen and princess disappeared from view, three figures dropped down from the roof, two of them humanoid in form, the third a kind of wolf/lion hybrid which walked on all fours.

"Did you hear that Perseph?" A distinctly male voice said.

"Yes I did Pitor, looks like queeney has a secret" a female voice said.

"Quit your yapping" a coarse voice growled "Let's just go kill her and leave" the quadruped said as it walked forward, the two humans following behind.

The two royals walked for what seemed like hours, down this long musky staircase, till finally it levelled out, revealing a long stone corridor, eventually leading to an alter like structure.

Finally Mirelle and Annette found themselves standing before the alter, which held a large stone block, covered in strange symbols and chains.

"What is it?" Annette asked, not taking her eyes off the altar.

"This is what allowed us to free ourselves from the Empire all those years ago, and probably the reason chancellor Protus has decided to forgo the treaty" Mirelle said as she raised her hand, which once again glowed a pale blue.

The runes began to light up and the chains started to move, one by one they slid off of the stone chest, till eventually they were all lying on the floor around it.

The top section of the stone block suddenly opened itself, steeling herself Annette moved forward slightly and looked inside the box, only to find an ancient looking, dark brown coloured wooden mask with a large metal strip running down the centre of the face.

"I don't understand" she said as she grasped the Mask and held it in her hands "How did a Mask give us independence?" she asked as she casually turned the Mask around in her hands to stare at the back.

"Whosoever wears that Mask gains fantastic powers, some say powers to rival that of the Trinity themselves, however that wearer becomes...Warped and twisted" Mirelle said as she watched her daughter carefully.

Annette saw a dull green light flash along the surface of the Mask for a split second, causing her to unconsciously move the Mask closer to her face "I find that hard to believe mother" she said as the Mask was mere inches from her face.

Suddenly the ancient looking wood sprang to life and seemingly leapt forwards and grabbed Annette's face, eliciting a scream from the frightened princess, however before the Mask could get a decent grip on her, Mirelle sprang forward and grabbed the Mask, pulling it away.

Annette gasped for breath as she stared fearfully at the Mask  "You were telling the truth!" she exclaimed as Mirelle looked at the Mask.

"Yes...My father showed it to me much like I'm showing you, however I'm afraid that this is slightly different" Mirelle said as she mimicked Annette's earlier movements with the Mask.

"You can't be serious mother! You're going to wear that thing!?" Annette exclaimed.

"I don't have a choice, if Kaldo invades we will be crushed in an instant, and I doubt Seedraheim will be able to mobilise a force to assist us fast enough" she said as she raised the Mask up to her face "At least with the Mask's power I can save the kingdom from the pain of war in one fell swoop".

"But you said that the wearer becomes twisted" Annette insisted as she desperately tried to convince her mother.

"Yes but you don't need to worry, I have undergone strict mental training to prepare for this eventuality, I will be alright" Mirelle said as she raised the Mask up to her face.

Annette grimaced as she watched her mother place the Mask on her face, which instantly reacted and came to life, stretching it's now malleable form out and grasping Mirelle's face.

Mirelle let out a few small grunts and moans as the Mask quickly covered her head in its material, while Annette stood by and watched on, wishing this wasn't happening to her mother.

Suddenly with a burst of raw energy, Mirelle started to spin around, becoming a human-sized vortex of white and pink which ricocheted around the small corridor, more then once almost colliding with the terrified Annette all the while the colour shifted from white and pink, to a dark red and pink.

Suddenly with a loud screeching sound the tornado stopped and Annette looked at her transformed mother.

Gone was the elegant, slightly conservative if not pure, snow white dress. Instead it was replaced by a dark, luscious red dress, similar in nature to the original one, but far more revealing.

However the biggest change was Mirelle's head, what was once a pale skin tone was now lime green, her features more prominent with a rubbery texture, as a wide toothy grin adorned her face.

"Mo-Mother?" Annette said cautiously as the queen grinned at her.

"Hi there Annie, like the new look?" she said in an energetic tone as she did a small twirl for her daughter.

"What happened-" Annette began to say, however she was cut off by someone else.

"Well, well look what we have here Pitor, the defenceless queen of a weak pacifist nation" a harpy like voice echoed out.

"Indeed Perseph, wouldn't it be a shame if something were to happen to them?" a distinctly male voice said.

The two royals turned and looked down the stone corridor, seeing the interlopers, a man with dark blue, almost purple hair, and a woman with long crimson hair, wearing matching black outfits adorned with various medals, trinkets and such.

Alongside them stood a four legged beast with fangs dripping with saliva as it growled menacingly.

"So you guys are old Protus' goons? I'm unimpressed I was hoping for some big muscular barbarian type, with an well oiled chest with heaving..." The transformed queen stopped herself mid-sentence and wiped a bit of drool from her mouth "So sorry about that, anyway where was I? Oh yes, you guys are pathetic" she finished.

Perseph growled "Watch out who you're calling pathetic Mirelle, we are the greatest assassin's in all of Kaldo" she said.

"Pfft whatever, oh by the way, Mirelle is far too stuffy I prefer Mira if you please."

"Oh thank you for telling us, we'll be sure to engrave it on your tombstone" Pitor said with a chuckle as he pulled out a short sword and charged forward.

He slashed at Mira who nonchalantly stepped to the left faster then should have been humanly possible, causing him to miss.

Mira smirked at him "So what would you like for me to have engraved on your tombstone by the way? Idiot? Ignoramus? Fool? Oh I know! Impotent" She chuckled as Pitor seethed with rage.

"How dare you! Just for that I'm going to make your death agonisingly slow" he yelled as he lunged at her again, only to once again miss.

Pitor swiped and slashed at Mira, who seemed to effortlessly bend out of the way just in time, the sword never coming closer then an inch to hitting her, however Mira soon found herself with her back to the wall.

Pitor grinned as he moved in for the kill "Nowhere for you to run now!" he yelled as he slashed at her.

Mira let out a loud yawn as she carelessly raised her left arm in a kind of defensive stance. The sword collided with Mira's arm, and promptly shattered like glass, leaving a very confused Pitor clutching the hilt as Mira looked on with boredom.

"I'm sure there's a joke about not being able to handle a sword that relates to you being less of a man, but I can't quite think of it" Mira said as Pitor moved back towards his companions.

"Your turn" he muttered to Perseph, who glared at Mira and produced a whip while walking towards her.

"You know with the matching black leather outfits, I should have realised you two were into some kinky things" Mira said as Perseph growled like a feral animal.

"Enough of your talk, today you die queen!" she roared as she cracked her whip in Mira's direction.

Mira grabbed the whip before it hit her and clicked her tongue mockingly "Now, now if you kids aren't going to play nice, I'm going to have to confiscate your toys" she said in a mocking tone as she pulled, causing Perseph's whip to fly out of her hands and land in Mira's

"Hey give that back!" Perseph shrieked while Mira playfully smirked.

"Well...If you insist" Mira said sinisterly.

Quick as a flash Mira cracked the whip, however rather then lashing into Perseph, it wrapped around her.

Perseph yelled out as the whip wound itself around her body, seemingly getting longer and longer as it did so, till finally she was covered head to toe in the whip.

"Oh I used to love these things as a kid!" Mira said with a girlish laugh as she pulled on the whip, causing Perseph to spin around so fast she resembled a spinning top.

Perseph let out a muffled yell as she spun around, eventually crashing into Pitor and casuing the two to fall to the floor.

"Grunt!" Pitor yelled at the animal while Perseph struggled not to vomit "Get her!".

"Yeah, yeah" the beast growled in it's coarse as sandpaper voice as it bounded towards Mira "I've never tasted blue blood before" Grunt said menacingly as he jumped at the queen, aiming to rip out her throat.

Grunt tackled Mira and the two fell to the ground wrestling with one another as Grunt tried to get into a position so that his powerful jaws could clamp down on Mira.

Finally Grunt's head moved forward and his jaws opened wide, his rows of serrated teeth on full display.

Suddenly though his mouth was clamped shut by Mira with a single hand, while her other hand pulled out a leather harness which she quickly placed over Grunts snout.

Grunt growled as he tried to tear the muzzle off his face, however he couldn't do it, pushing him off Mira stood up and grinned "We have a policy in this kingdom, all dangerous mutts must be muzzled" she said as she kicked Grunt sharply, causing him to fly up and hit the floor by the two would-be assassins.

Annette looked on with a stunned expression "Wha" she began to say, however Mira cut her off.

"See Annie? No problem here, now come on, lets go get the guards to have some words with these fools, we've got a war to plan!" Mira exclaimed as she grabbed her daughter and zipped off back to the throne room.

Although the future, by and large, remains uncertain, it can be said that for the Queen and her country, life was about to get a lot stranger.
So this was a sort of request/gift for ~MugenKeiji It's a sort of pilot episode giving some backstory and details to his OC Mirelle/Mira (Who have appeared in several pictures now) Keep in mind this isn't a final product, more like a test before all the kinks are worked out, a Beta Build if you will.
